Teófilo Benítez, lawyer for the minor who denounced Saúl Huerta for sexual abuse, announced that he will file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission (CNDH) for the delay in the Chamber of Deputies to withdraw the jurisdiction of the legislator.
“This is offensive, it cannot be that these types of situations are overlapping a bench that has a majority in the Chamber of Deputies and that they make these delays,” said the lawyer, alluding to Morena, because for more than three months the Mexico City Attorney General asked to withdraw this constitutional protection from Poblano to make it available to a judicial authority.
In a conference, he commented that “being badly thought out” it can be believed that the delay in withdrawing the violation of Saúl Huerta is so that he can leave Mexico City.
“We think that these delays are to give Huerta time to leave the city and avoid justice,” said Teófilo Benítez, who is also a defense attorney for the families of the victims of Metro Line 12.

He pointed out that if the lawlessness against the still legislator does not proceed, they will wait until their term as legislators ends, which is at the end of August, for the judicial authorities to proceed.
Meanwhile, the minor’s relatives trusted that next week the Chamber of Deputies will approve the withdrawal of Huerta’s jurisdiction and with them “proceed to repair the damage that has been left to our son.”
The mother of the minor, María Guadalupe Lezama, commented that “the Moreno deputies have sheltered the deputy to maintain their jurisdiction.”
On August 9, the Permanent Commission of the Congress of the Union will vote to summon the Chamber of Deputies to an extraordinary period to discuss the violation of Saúl Huerta and Mauricio Toledo. This session is scheduled to take place on August 11.
