Today we see marketing teams making more effective advertising investments, designers creating in minutes what used to take hours, and text generators producing quality copy in a matter of seconds. These are just some basic examples. However, the real magic happens when we combine language, voice, and image models to create unique and innovative user experiences. This is only possible with a deep understanding of the business and the ability to leverage artificial intelligence strategically.
After speaking with 40 executives and business leaders from the most influential companies in our region, I came to the conclusion that implementing an AI strategy in a company is more of a cultural challenge than a technical one. Although many are familiar with tools like ChatGPT and image generators like DALL-E or Midjourney, they don’t fully understand how to integrate them into their daily operations. This is where leadership comes into play.
Learning how to use these tools involves a bit of a learning challenge, but if we don’t know what questions to ask, that knowledge may be for nothing. It’s like learning to drive a car without knowing where to go. The first step is to learn how to make valuable requests to tools like ChatGPT. This should be a basic skill for anyone who works in front of a computer in a company. To achieve this, it is essential that managers be the first to learn and then foster this knowledge throughout the organization.
It is not about limiting yourself to a single team or hierarchical level; must become a general practice. The company must provide work time for learning and spaces where employees can share their new knowledge in the projects in which they are involved.
When a company implements an AI strategy in this way, it becomes aware of other needs, such as computer security. Instead of restricting the use of these technologies, it is more effective to implement a plan that teaches people how to manage information, identify vulnerabilities, and protect themselves against potential attacks. This awareness is essential, since attacks are inevitable in the digital world in which we live.
We are living in an exciting time in business history, where AI is presented as the master key to unlocking immense potential. Companies that decide to embrace this technology, learning to leverage it strategically, are destined to lead the way in the years to come.
