We have been talking for a few years now about the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, a British competition that offers us curious photos in which humor and animals are mixed; a great combination that aims to make us smile on a day like today in which many have returned to face-to-face work after many months teleworking from home and others see how summer seems to have suddenly ended.
A few months ago we showed you the winners of last year and now the organization of this contest that is presented as “the most fun and popular in the world” and celebrates its fourth edition brings us forward a selection of 42 images They will compete for the final prize (consisting of a one-week safari as well as a handmade trophy).
This selection has been made among the “more than seven thousand photos received from all corners of the world. A staggering turnout, especially given the impact of the pandemic“In addition, the organization highlights that this high participation reflects “the appetite that exists to commit to animal conservation and reminds us that wildlife is truly amazing and fun and that we must do everything we can to protect it“.
And, in addition to looking for the funny side of the animal world, the contest aims to promote wildlife conservation for which every year they collaborate with an NGO dedicated to these ends. This year the chosen one is Save Wild Orangutans, a charity that protects the wild orangutans of Gunung Palung National Park in Borneo.
