The fourth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Disney+ It was the shortest the Serie until now. Also, the one that garnered the most divided reviews and the one that made fans wonder in which direction the story will go. But also, included one of the creepiest and most adult scenes of the series of starwars until now. At one point, Obi-Wan Kenobi walks through the Inquisitor’s Fortress, only to find a jedi corpse collection, preserved for obscure purposes. The sequence shows several preserved bodies in the clothes they wore when they died. A sinister image like few others in mythology starwars.
In fact, Obi Wan Kenobi delves into what happened to the Jedi who survived the first wave of deaths caused by the Order 66. Isolated, hunted, persecuted throughout the cosmos by the Inquisitors; tortured and slaughtered in grotesque ways, the Jedi population is a universal outcast. But, even worse, they also seem to be the target of some kind of dark project which includes even the bodies of those killed.
A new piece of information, which puts into context everything I knew so far about the consequences of Order 66 and what happened around it. Even more disturbing is the fact that even any of the Jedi are recognizable. The body of Tera Sinube, a Jedi who participated in the story of clone wars appears in the chilling sequence. Which turns the entire scene into a hard look on the genocide perpetrated by Palpatine. Plus the implications of what the Empire might — or might not — do with the corpses of its victims in the midst of sinister experiments.
A journey through horror and darkness
The purpose for which the Inquisitors preserve the corpses of the Jedi is still unclear. But, if you delve into the mythology of the saga, there are some disturbing and dark answers to the question. In the first season of Star Wars Rebels, the Grand Inquisitor uses Luminara Unduli’s corpse as a lure for a death trap for the survivors.
On the other hand, in The Mandalorian it is hinted that the blood of Force-sensitives is being harvested as part of more complex and dangerous experiments. Even in the new trilogy, it is suggested that Snoke (created by Palpatine) is part of some experiment on Jedi nature. And that even your own resurrection of the emperor It is related to the theme and the perception of The Force as a biological fact.

Much more disturbing: could it be the scene from the fourth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi preparation for what will happen next The Mandalorian? As will be remembered, the Mandalorian has had to face the fact that the Empire tries to kidnap Grogu, due to his very special nature. So it could be deduced that the experiments to be carried out in the future, be included in the Serie about the fugitive Jedi.
Who are the corpses kept by the Order of Inquisitors?
Though most are unknown, one of the Jedi bodies Kenobi stumbles upon is painfully familiar to fans of starwars. Tera Sinubean elderly Cosian woman who was part of the plot of Clone Wars as Ahsoka Tano’s friend and mentor, she can be seen in the sequence. Also, several fans commented that one of the bodies bears a more than direct resemblance to Mace Windu. It has also been possible to see a body of the Ongree race, some anthropomorphic-looking creatures and even a young Jedi.
The Ongree corpse could be that of the Jedi Master Coleman Kcaja member of the Jedi High Council in both Revenge of the Sith like in Clone Wars. On the other hand, one of the humanoids bears a slight resemblance to Quinlan Vos, who was named in the series by Obi-Wan Kenobi himself. A fearsome and painful break with everything that the fugitive Jedi’s life was until Order 66.
