A new report from 9to5Mac suggests that Apple could bring more than one redesign to its iPhone 14 and 14 Pro lineup this year. According to new information received by the aforementioned medium, the iPhone 14 Pro they would arrive with a higher screen due to the new design for the front of the device and, in addition, it could also have satellite communication functions.
From the beginning, the rumors about the iPhone 14 ensure that the new batch of devices will arrive composed of four variants; eliminating the “mini” version that Apple first introduced with the iPhone 12. However, it seems that it will not be the only thing to change, and that is that those from Cupertino plan to redesign the aspect ratio of the panels on the iPhone 14 Pro and ProMax; not so for base devices.
Thus, we will have to iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Max will have identical resolutions to those of their previous-generation counterparts. However, due to the perforated screen redesign of these terminals, those from Cupertino would have been forced to rearrange the aspect ratio of the panel, offering a “slightly taller” screenas commented in 9to5Mac.
According to our sources, the new iPhone 14 (codenamed D27 and D28) will be available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch versions, and the current 5.4-inch iPhone mini will be discontinued.

The iPhone 14 would have satellite functions
Shortly before the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro were revealed; a report stated that the company had started working in satellite communication functions for your upcoming iPhone models. Of course, those features never made it to current Apple models; but according to 9to5Macthey could land with the following.
According to a source close to the aforementioned medium, those from Cupertino would currently be working on providing said technology. Thus, users could send messages via satellite, although much more information is still unknown. The project is being developed under the codename “Stewie”; and Apple would already be testing the first prototypes, if the reports are to be believed.
Not-so-new chips on base models
For its part, the company has plans to change the way it introduces new processors to its smartphones. Rumors that emerged a few hours ago ensure that the iPhone 14 they will have the same chip that we already find in the current generation; so in this section we would not see many changes. However, with the Pro variants we would see a completely new processor (A16).
The standard models of the iPhone 14 could integrate the A15 chip that the iPhone 13 Pro carries, and that have an additional core in the GPU compared to the base terminals. To differentiate it from its predecessor, Apple would call it the A15X. Also, it is said that all iPhone 14 will have 6GB RAM.
However, still there is time before we see the new iPhone 14 and 14 Pro which will be released this year, presumably between September and October.
