Madrid is already decorated on the occasion of the oath of the Constitution of the Princess of Asturias but, in addition to the decoration, the Community has announced that Madrid residents and visitors will be invited to the aperitif.
The Community of Madrid will give attendees at Puerta del Sol to commemorate this day a total of 15,000 Spanish flags, but will also offer the public special sweets with the colors of the national flag, prepared by the Association of Artisan Entrepreneurs of the Pastry Sector of Madrid (Asempas).
The base will be an almond sponge cake or Russian cake and diplomatic cream, decorated with raspberry and lemon jelly. These can be collected at the Tourist Office which is located in the central Madrid square.
For its part, the Association of Centenary Restaurants and Taverns has prepared an appetizer for this day, which consists of a gilda (piparra or chilli in vinegar with anchovy and green olive) to which is added a Spanish flag.
These establishments with more than 100 years of life, that will also decorate their premises with the Spanish flag on the occasion of the oath, are the Bodega de la Ardosa, Botín, Café Gijón, Casa Alberto, Casa Ciriaco, Casa Labra, Casa Pedro, La Casa del Abuelo, Lhardy, Malacatín, Posada de la Villa and Tavern Antonio Sánchez.
