Who doesn’t love a good homemade cake? In our kitchen we love to experiment with seasonal flavors and this time we ventured with this millefeuille cake composed of delicious autumn apples and pears. The result? A cake that will make you want to lick your fingers.
Its name is due to the fact that most of this juicy cake is thin layers of fruit, surrounded by a very thin layer of dough. What makes it a very fresh cake and that everyone wants after eating or having a snack.
When we decided to prepare this recipe, we knew that the combination of crisp apples and juicy pears It was simply irresistible.. The apples provide that fresh touch and the pears the sweet touch.
Plus, what would a fall cake be without the suitable spices? The cinnamon and vanilla give it a very special touch that will fill your kitchen and make you salivate before trying it, we promise! This cake is not just a recipe; It is a tribute to autumn and those moments shared around the table. So get out your aprons and let’s prepare this delicious cake together!
We preheat the oven at 200 °C. In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, a pinch of cinnamon and vanilla essence until the mixture acquires a lighter consistency. Then, we add the melted butter and milk, and continue beating until all the ingredients are well integrated.
We mix the flour and Baking Powder Royal and add it to the wet mixture while continuing to beat, making sure there are no lumps.
We peel the pears and apples and cut into thin slices with a mandolin. We divide the dough into two equal parts in the bowl. We add the apples in one half and the pears in the other half. We mix well to ensure that the fruits are evenly covered with the dough.
Grease a rectangular cake pan with butter and cover it with baking paper. We pour the apple preparation into the mold, pressing lightly to level it. Then, we pour the pear mixture over the apple layer, carefully smoothing it with a spatula.
We bake during 30 to 40 minutes or until cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. We let the cake cool before unmolding it.
This invisible pear cake is best enjoyed cold, so we let it cool completely before serving. We enjoy!
