The wave of new Covid infections continues to rise. Only in Mexico City it is estimated that since December 24 the number of cases has quadrupled, going from 2,652 to 13,507 as of Wednesday’s cutoff.
The increase in infections has led to the cancellation of a significant number of events, which sought to return a little to normality.

President López Obrador affirmed that current inflation is higher than that registered in the highest points of the two previous six-year terms.

The ‘covifiesta’ of Canadian influencers
A group of influencers from Canada is stranded in Cancun after the airline that would take them back to their country on Wednesday canceled their flight.
The reason is that during the journey to Mexico, on December 30, the influencers organized a party inside the plane, where the masks and the healthy distance were conspicuous by their absence, they drank, smoked and danced. The company says the Canadians violated all air safety and sanitary rules.
