Wimbledon has managed to raise some 52.3 million euros to distribute among the winners of the different categories in 2023. This number marks an increase of 11.2%, if we take the prize of the 2022 edition as a reference, as confirmed by the organization itself.
But how much has Carlos Alcaraz taken home? Well, in addition to a trophy presented by Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, the Spaniard has obtained 2.74 million euros as a prize for achieving the highest score at Wimbledon 2023. Likewise, he receives 2,000 points for the ATP classification. For her part, the Czech Markéta Vondroušová, women’s champion of this edition, equals the Murcian both in cash and in points.
Let us remember that, since 2007, the Wimbledon Championships offer identical prizes to both men and women after widespread criticism of sexual discrimination.
