Many fans of resident Evil they’re pretty excited about the future of the franchise, mostly about the upcoming release of the fourth title in remake mode. However, some others are upset with capcom because they skipped a video game that they consider canon in the saga, this is clearly Code Veronica.
In statements through an interview to the website NoisyPixelthe producer of the series, Yoshiaki Hirabayashisaid there are no concrete plans to develop a Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remakebut did not totally rule out the opportunity, stating that if the opportunity arose, they would consider doing it in the future, but it is not so certain.
This game was originally released on dream cast in the year 2000being an exclusive that SEGA got for his new console, however, in the end they could not save themselves from the disaster that was coming. So capcom did not want to leave the game abandoned, so they decided to launch it on other consoles very soon, it includes PS2 Y Game Cube.
It is worth mentioning that platforms like Xbox 360 and PS3 They still have this video game in their catalog, so new users should be able to buy it without any problem on their consoles. Strangely, platforms like Steam they have a lot of games from the franchise, but particularly Code Veronica is discarded and capcom doesn’t seem to want to add it.
Remember that the resident Evil newest arrives March 23 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
