After a long wait, finally the new Fitbit Charge 5 has been officially presented and we already know all its characteristics in detail. After its recent purchase by Google, Fitbit has just launched the renewal of its most advanced smart bracelet, a new model that includes many improvements over the Charge 4.
The main change we see in a new design much more refined and current, the incorporation of the well-known EDA sensor for stress measurement and even the possibility of carrying out electrocardiograms in the purest Apple Watch style.

An obvious redesign with internal news
Undoubtedly, the design is one of the most obvious changes in this new generation of the Fitbit Charge 5. Far has been the monochrome screen and the rough design that we saw in its previous generation, and this has given way to a much more premium look And be careful being a smaller and lighter bracelet with a reduction of 10% in its thickness.
Its body is built in stainless steel and on its sides we will find the two sensors that are new in this fifth generation, the EDA sensor and the electrocardiogram. In addition, on its front we find a new color AMOLED panel that is also fully tactile, so the device interface has been completely redesigned to resemble the rest of the company’s products.
This panel presents the well-known mode Always On Display so that it always stays on, incorporates an automatic brightness sensor and we can even exchange your watchfaces directly from the Fitbit app.
Another interesting detail to comment on is the battery section, where we find a autonomy of up to seven days (always taking into account the use we make of it), in addition to being fully compatible with Google Fast Pair for a higher pairing speed and, of course, we can receive notifications from our smartphone, being able to answer them through quick responses predefined by the own system.
Finally, if we talk about the sensors integrated in the device, one of those that are not at all common in smartbands is the GPS chip, something that will be very useful to monitor our sports activities with greater precision.
It incorporates up to 20 different exercises with the possibility of optimizing our training with the active zone minutes and, as a novelty, launches the Daily Readiness feature, a system that uses several parameters to understand the fatigue present in our body.
In addition, we will also have other sensors available such as the EDA sensor for stress measurement, skin temperature sensor, heart rate, blood oxygen and even the aforementioned electrocardiogram.
