TikTok is turning the spotlight on its vast network of content creators, who, through a new program, will be able to charge up to $190 for exclusive content.
“Influencer”, “Content Creator” and even “Tiktoker” are terms that are currently part of the popular language and, above all, among young people.
Digitization, a process that, although it is not new, did have an upturn and redefinition during the height of the pandemic, has served, among many other things, to give value to one of the most prominent professions in recent years: Creator of Contents.
Nowadays, according to a survey conducted by the Morning Consult platformmore than 70 percent of young people in Latin America want to become influencers and live exclusively from its contents; In Mexico, the same study reveals that more than 50 percent of young people already have in mind to dedicate themselves to said work.
Now, today, it is known that more than 440,000 content creators live in our country, this, according to the data reported by Influencity; However, the number could be much higher, since day by day, social networks are transforming in such a way that they are already essential work tools for a generation of Internet users who grew up with TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and, consequently, with a legion of creators highly relevant to the market.
To all this, we must add the fact that, on some occasions, the earnings that content creators receive are not negligible, quite the opposite. - The nanos influencers: they make advertising profits of 10 to 100 dollars per post.
- the mics influencers: they can earn between 100 and 500 dollars per post in their networks.

- The mega influencers: They charge between $1,500, $10,000, or even $50,000, depending on their reputation and number of followers.
Creators will be able to charge up to $190 for content on TikTok
As of 2020 and up to today, TikTok is the social network that has managed to position itself in the market and, above all, in the preference of users, currently accumulating 1.7 billion monthly users and close to exceeding the two billion.
On the other hand, in terms of influencer marketingboth TikTok and Instagram are the two social networks through which creators generate the most profit, according to what the report reports The State of Influencer Marketing 2021.
Under this premise, now, TikTok continues to focus on its content creators with a new program called Series, through which they will be able to create video collections in order to sell them as exclusive content; each collection, according to what has been stipulated, may have up to 80 videos and each clip may last up to 20 minutes.
It should be noted that content creators have the possibility of charging between 1 and up to 190 dollars for each series. In that sense, it is a paywall monetization model, something similar to what happens with OnlyFans or Patreon.
Another important fact is that creators have the possibility to keep all their income, except for 30 percent in terms of processing and app store fees.
It is also a trend that other platforms are following, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, among others, which are also paying more attention to their content creators.
