Given the intention of the United Kingdom to join the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC), President López Obrador affirmed that the three partner countries must review the inclusion.
“It is a matter that corresponds to the three countries that are now part of this agreement. So that must be reviewed by Canada, the United States and Mexico“, said.
“This must be seen with all the actors, we cannot anticipate, I am in favor of maintaining this agreementHe added.
The president mentioned that because of this treaty, Mexico is important in the automotive and auto parts industry.
“There is a permanent growth of industries linked to exports, which are jobs and well-being for the country,” he said.
López Obrador presumed that now the country is growing at a rate greater than 6% “largely because of that treaty.”
