“They held a constructive dialogue with the aim of seeking consensus and alternatives to resolve the situation that prevails today in the highest electoral court of the country as well as to strengthen the institutions of the Federal Judicial Power,” the Court said in a statement.
Minister Arturo Zaldívar emphasized that dialogue will be the only alternative that can restore stability to the Court, which is why he called on its members to weigh the good of Mexico before personal ambitions.
Yesterday, the presiding magistrate José Luis Vargas Valdez reported that before the dismissal that came from his colleagues, he would appeal to the Court to challenge the decision and return legality to said body.
In the same way, he called on his peers to hold a private meeting that would allow them to amend their differences, however, so far it has not been reported if said call was carried out.
