Originally from Querétaro, Misael became a Mexican pride in 2022, for being one of the 60 young people from around the world chosen for the NASA space program. At that time, he was studying for a degree in Robotics and Digital Systems Engineering at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Querétaro.
The program had a cost of 3,500 dollars, which he collected by selling caps from their own social networks and through donations. She also had the support of Other People, who created the ‘MASA’ campaign: a line of t-shirts with the NASA logo, but with an ‘M’ for Mexico.

The Division of Engineering at Harvard Medical School approached Jiménez to offer him the possibility of joining their research program in Engineering and Robotics. Thus, the young Mexican entered a rigorous selection process where he had to demonstrate his skills in programming and hardware development.
Jiménez stood out among the other candidates and was accepted into the Engineering division of Harvard Medical School. This will allow you to be part of a select community of researchers and be the beneficiary of a 100% scholarship at Harvard while you are studying in Boston.
“I am very happy, because it is a great opportunity to continue learning about my career, which is Robotics Engineering and Digital Systems; but even more to be able to apply it in the research area. That seems incredible to me,” Misael said in a statement.
The student from Queretaro already had the opportunity to meet the other students selected for the program, which will begin in August 2023 and end in February 2024.
