Earlier in the week we had data from Counterpoint showing both the growth of the smartwatch market and the leadership of the Apple Watch. Now comes data regarding the market of wearables, which also includes sports bracelets, bands and others.
Xiaomi has been at the head of the Spanish market, as reflected by data from Canalys. The company claims that it has been thanks to products such as the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 and other members such as the [Mi Watch](https://www.xataka.com/analisis/xiaomi-mi-watch-analisis-caracteristicas-precio-es. specifications). Followed closely by Apple, along with three other industry giants.
Xiaomi leads, Apple follows and Huami falls
Xiaomi is, according to data from Canalys, the first Spanish manufacturer of wearables. The company achieves 30% market share and a year-on-year growth of 23%. It is followed in second place by Apple with practically half the share, 16%, but with a year-on-year growth of more than 99%.
Huami, one of the most popular brands in the wearable territory, falls by 40% in the Spanish market
In third place is Huami, a company in charge of manufacturing devices such as the Amazfit, among others. Asian technology drops 40% in annual growth, but ranks third with 8% market share.
Finally, in fourth and fifth place, we find Fitbit and Garmin, with a 7% market share, but with higher year-on-year growth for Garmin, with 49% versus 8% for Fitbit.
Regarding the manufacturers of basic wearables, Xiaomi also leads, with a 35% share. Huami follows with 24%, along with Garmin, Huawei and Mobvoi. On the part of Xiaomi, they indicate that their families Mi Band and Mi Watch have had a strong reception in Spain.
