Xiaomi’s next flagship will be announced very soon. The Chinese company has confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, a premium range smartphone that will include a front sensor under the screen, the latest from Qualcomm and a fast charge never seen in a mobile.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will be presented on August 10. The event will be held via streaming and can be seen through the YouTube channel of the company. It will start at 1:30 p.m. (Spain) or 6:30 a.m. in Mexico. Xiaomi, taking advantage of the presentation of this flagship, will also review its latest innovations and the difficult decisions they have had to make to become the second largest mobile manufacturer in the world.
Lei Jun, head of the brand, has advanced some details of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 in a series of renders. In several of the publications that he has shared through his profile of Weibo, let see that the smartphone will include a ceramic back and it will arrive, as the main novelty, with a camera under the screen. It will therefore be the first brand device to be marketed with this technology.
The camera under the screen will be a reality in the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4
Xiaomi, let’s remember, has been working on a front sensor that is capable of being hidden under the OLED panel. The goal is to offer a frameless screen so that you can enjoy your multimedia content without distraction. The technology developed by Xiaomi will allow the sensor to be hidden inside a number of pixels that will have the same density as the rest of the screen. When it is necessary to use the front sensor, the pixels will become transparent and allow light to pass through.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will arrive, according to the latest rumors, with a Snapdragon 888 processor. The company, however, could bet on a Snapdragon 888 Plus, which offers several improvements over its previous generation. Another remarkable feature of this next smartphone is its fast charge, which could be 200 W.
Other innovative features are expected beyond the front sensor and the load. However, generally speaking, the Mi Mix 4 will be somewhat more discreet than the Mi Mix Alpha, model announced in 2020 and that came with an edge-to-edge screen.
