Windows 11 received an update on his Insider channel that adds a very useful function to access mobile photos. Users of the operating system will be able to use the tool cuts to view, edit or share the images they capture on an Android terminal. This feature will debut later in a general public version.
An advertisement in the windows blog announces the release of version 23619 in the Development Channel. The most obvious change is the implementation of an option that allows you to access your Android photos from the tool cuts. This function requires that your terminal be registered in Windows 11 through the tool Mobile device management.
Once synced, your computer will show a notification when you take a photo or screenshot on mobile. When you click it, Windows 11 will open the image to view, edit, or share it in other applications. The new function will make it easier to access your most recent photoseliminating the intermediate step of connecting your smartphone via USB or syncing content to the cloud.
Photo notifications in Windows 11 are an optional feature that can be disabled from the mobile device manager. The good news is that this feature is independent of other services, so you will be able to access your messages or calls even when you disable it.
Another point to consider is that Your Android phone will connect to Windows 11 via Bluetooth. Microsoft released an update in mid-December that added the Mobile Device Manager inside the menu Options > Bluetooth and devices. This application replaces Phone Link, intended to integrate the mobile phone since time immemorial.
The new features coming to Windows 11 in its most recent update
Developer Channel version 23619 also includes changes to other sections of Windows 11. Start menu includes a shortcut to start a Microsoft Teams meeting. Users will be able to view the link to the video call in the recommended items of the main menu.
This update will receive performance improvements in File Explorer. This is one of the most frequent criticisms of Windows 11 after the switch to XAML Islandsa technology that allows you to modernize Win32 applications by using user interface parts from the UWP platform.
