For the past several years, one of Team Ninja’s most successful properties has been Nioh. The two deliveries that we have seen so far have been exclusive to PlayStation on consoles, although they are also available on PC. Thus, one of the directors of this company was questioned before the possibility of seeing Nioh on Xbox in the future, but the response was not positive.
In a conversation with VGC, Fumihiko Yasuda, director of Nioh, was questioned about the possibility of seeing this series on Xbox consoles, or at least on PC Game Pass, in the future. However, considering that Sony handled the distribution in the West, this seems impossible. This is what he commented on it:
“There really is nothing to write home about. Currently, there is not much chance to have Nioh on Xbox platforms, but we hope that Xbox fans will enjoy Wo Long and look forward to the release of that game. That’s probably all we can say about it at this point.”
Sadly, there seems to be no hope of seeing Nioh on Xbox in the future. However, this does not mean that the users of these consoles are left without some Team Ninja work, since Wo Long: Fallen Dynastythe next project from this team, will not only be available on these platformsbut day one will arrive at Game Pass.
