Adobe is one of the many companies that will attend the IBC 2022, the Amsterdam fair that brings together professionals and companies specializing in communication and entertainment. Since it is a sector that requires all kinds of technological tools to carry out its activities, Adobe will take advantage of the occasion to present some new features of its popular applications.
Adobe made it known what we can expect from their presence at IBC 2022. So far, those from California have focused on three categories. The first, a cloud-based solution that aims to facilitate collaboration between those who are dedicated to filming on virtual sets.
Also new versions of Adobe Premier Pro and After Affects whose objective is to make time more efficient in a collaborative environment. Finally, the new integrations of Adobe Camera to Cloud that provide “simultaneous shooting and editing.” As you can see, Adobe is placing a lot of emphasis on collaboration and its importance in modern times.
“Adobe is at the forefront of cloud-based video solutions that enable much faster collaboration and creative workflows. With Premiere Pro, Frame.io, and Camera to Cloud, we’re connecting the entire video creation process.” , from frame capture to final delivery, enabling users to collaborate in new ways, from anywhere,” said Scott Belsky, Product Manager, Creative Cloud.
Collaboration is Adobe’s priority
Perhaps Adobe’s most important announcement at IBC 2022 will be its intention to take virtual production to the cloud, with which it seeks to reduce the time and costs involved in the production of content. To do this, they will rely on NearTime, a cloud rendering tool for Unreal Engine, Epic Games’ graphics engine. This, as they mention, “allows customers to take advantage of all the advantages of visualization
on set and high-quality VFX shots, without the costly constraints of real-time playback.”
Regarding the Adobe Premiere Pro update, it will soon have improved tools to create titles with “quick access to editing elements and layers, new fill options to add textures and graphics within the text and new export options for sharing the text with the rest of the team.”
Adobe After Effects, meanwhile, will receive new keyframe color tags, selectable track matte layers, and fast exports with native H.264 encoding. The latter now use hardware acceleration so that rendering of H.264 files is possible directly from the application.
Finally, Camera to Cloud boasts integrations with more devices. New integrations with the Atomos Zato Connect device, Teradek Serv Micro transmitter, and Teradek Prism Flex encoder/decoder extend the use of Camera to Cloud to more cameras and production devices than ever before.
Adobe’s plan is to show all these features between September 9 and 12 at its booth at the aforementioned fair.
