Before whom is a will made?
In general, a will must be made before a notary public, who attests to the procedure and duly registers it, for its legal validity.
However, in Mexico City, the government provides some facilities and has a permanent program to make a low-cost will.
This is the procedure:
Citizen: Go to the Regional Module, Central Offices of the General Directorate of Territorial Regularization or Testamóviles, register and request the application for an open public will, with official identification.
Public server: Captures the Open Public Will Request and issues a payment receipt to the Citizen.
Citizen: Make the corresponding payment in the Bank.
Public server: Assign notary.
Notary: Appointment to the citizen for testament.
Citizen: Go to the notary to grant your will.
Notary: Deliver will to the citizen.
