He super bowl It is one of the most important television events in the United States, with very high audience ratings. It is used by brands and studios to present new commercials, and of course, new trailers to promote new movies. This is the case of the DC Extended Universe, which they have taken advantage of to present a new preview of Flash. The film stars Ezra Miller — despite recent scandals about him — and we finally see, for the first time ever, see Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman.
We already knew this and the trailer makes it clear: Flash can travel between universes, different parallel realities where things happened slightly differently. Where there are different versions of Batman, Kal-El/Superman, or Barry Allen himself. That’s why we see Ben Affleck’s version of Bruce Wayne again or the one played by Michael Keaton.
The great objective of the film Flash will be to conclude the DC Extended Universe created by Zack Snyder and restart it. This is how new stories will be created now that James Gunn and Peter Safran are in charge of DC Studios. Both will try to bring order to a franchise that, honestly, is in chaos, with unfinished stories or different versions of the same character. And thus, bringing it closer to a coherent timeline, as is the case with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The movie of Flash will be inspired by flash point
The Flash movie will be inspired by flash point, comic in which the character moves so fast that he is able to travel in time. He decides to go to the past to avoid the death of his mother, as we can see in the trailer and it was suggested during The Justice League. And thus prevent his father from ending up in jail, accused of that crime that he did not commit. But by changing the past it creates new time lines. In this case, that Superman does not exist, that Batman is another Bruce Wayne and that the other metahumans have disappeared.
That is why Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Kal-El, better known as Clark Kent/Superman, will also appear. He also survived the Kryptonian cataclysm. In the comics she is better known as Supergirl or Power Girl. In the Flash movie she will be played by Sasha Calle.
Flash opens on June 16 in theaters around the world. It is directed by Argentine director Andrés Muschietti with a script by Christina Hodson, based on a story by John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein and Joby Harold. In addition to Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle and the return of Michael Shannon as General Zod, there will be Maribel Verdú playing Barry Allen’s mother.
