Although these principles start from its headquarters in Regensburg, Germany, they extend to all the company’s locations in Europe, Asia and North America, including Mexico, Canada and the United States, with a workforce of nearly 38,000 employees.
In this way, all Vitesco Technologies facilities, in 15 countries, are subjected to a multi-category audit procedure. Based on the results, they receive a bronze, silver or gold certificate in the Program Green Plant Labela standard used to assess energy and environmental performance.
This includes locations in Mexico such as the Research and Development Center in Guadalajara, the financial center in Silao, the specialized powertrain production plant in Cuautla (certified Green Plant Label Silver) and the two plants located in Ciudad Juárez, which have the certification Green Plant Label Bronze.
At the same time, the installation of rainwater collection and storage systems, in said manufacturing centers, allows us to take advantage of this resource for toilets and give it other uses; while their risk management policies have earned them the FM Global certification “Best protected plant”.
