The company plans to make its first flight with passengers between June 27 and 30, passengers will include researchers from the Italian Air Force and the Italian National Research Council.
The trip, named Galactic 01, paves the way for space tourism. To date, about 800 people have already reserved seats for one of these flights, and the date to launch into space could soon arrive.
The company also indicated that it will make a second commercial flight in early August. And going forward, the Branson firm expects to run missions every month.
The race for space tourism is picking up speed again, companies like Elon Musk’s SpaceX, or Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin also have projects to take advantage of this new market.
