If you are a fan of Valorant and you’ve been following the competitive scene of the game then you probably know of Rowan Crothers, former professional player of this title who decided to take a break from video games in favor of participating in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
Crothers, who is originally from Australia, was in charge of representing his country within the official Paralympic swimming team, where he managed to take home the gold medal.
“Former Valorant pro player Rowan Crothers, known as Magnetbrain and who took a break from the game to train for Tokyo, now took a Gold Medal at the Paralympics.”

Specifically, it was in the 50-meter freestyle swimming category where Crothers achieved a time of 23.21 seconds, thus beating Maksym Krypak and Phelipe Rodrigues, other competitors of Ukraine and Brazil respectively.
Despite suffering from cerebral palsy, Crothers showed that this is not an impediment to being one of the best players in Valorant, and now also, an Olympic medalist.
