A few months ago, WhatsApp Beta (version 2.22.10.13) made a multi-device test feature available to users. With it, those who have Android mobiles will be able to link several devices with the same account.
There is already the possibility of using the messaging service simultaneously, on a mobile phone and on a computer.
With this improvement, WhatsApp can also be used at the same time on a smartphone and a tablet, for example. Well, until now, when a user tries to do so, WhatsApp unlinks the account from one of the devices.
How does WhatsApp multi-device work?
To activate this new feature, the WhatsApp client only needs to access a new interface called ‘Register device as a plugin’.
Next, the user must scan, through the main device, a QR code that will appear on the ‘add-on’ or ‘secondary’ device. At least that’s how it is done in the beta version. But both the interface and the functionality process might change when this update is released.
iOS users should not be disappointed either, because according to the specialized medium WaBetaInfo, this and other adaptations will arrive for the Apple operating system.
