“But two months after this gesture and in the absence of negotiations or proposal for the signing of the Collective Labor Agreement, we have notified the procedure (to the Ministry of Labor) to safeguard the rights and benefits of the workers we represent” says the union in a statement.
The STPRM stressed that its intention is not to break out a strike, since it is aware of the strategic role of the oil industry in Mexico.
“We do not want a strike, or any other action that threatens our company, which is the sustenance of the nation, only sensitivity and empathy from Pemex officials,” said the workers represented by the STPRM.
