The modification is already official in the desktop version of the platform, which can be accessed through the x.com domain, although the twitter.com address also remains active. So far, the branding on the smartphone app has not changed.
On Saturday night, Musk made a post in which he said that the logo of the platform would change once someone shared one good enough to be the new image of the social network and the chosen one was someone named Sawyer Merritt, whose video with the new logo was pinned by Musk.
Before launching the new logo, Musk stressed that it is an interim image, so it could change later, as some users have pointed out that it is the X of a font type already existing and not a completely original design.
