According to the perspective of a tiktoker, working at Oxxo has various benefits, which he made known through a video, after one of his followers questioned him about why he likes his work.
In case it were necessary to recall Oxxo’s popularity, data from the Bank of Mexico endorse it, since, in one of its 2020 reports, the most complex year due to the pandemic, the convenience store chain was the company with the largest number of branches for the collection of remittances in Mexico, with a total of 19,146 establishments. For its part, Farmacias Guadalajara occupied the second position, with less than one eighth of the number of Oxxo branches.
However, the expansion of this type of establishment, although it can now be considered as “normal” in the consumption habits of Mexicans, has left a significant number of shopkeepers out of the competition.
Taking this information into account, we are talking about the fact that the outlook for shopkeepers looks complicated, especially at a time when the growth of these brands does not stop, but quite the opposite.
According to him National Statistical Directory of Economic Units 2021 (DENUE), Retail Trade of Groceries and Food registered 984 thousand 361 economic units. The states with the highest number of economic units were the State of Mexico (160,302), Mexico City (83,932) and Puebla (73,019).
Now, one piece of data to highlight is the fact that, currently and according to data from the company itself, Oxxo has “contributed to generating employment for more than 200,000 people in Latin America”, a fact that, among other things, endorses that it is one of the most relevant companies in recent years.

In TikTok, the social network that has been a companion of the new generations, especially during the pandemic, lives a content creator who carries out content about what happens in his working hours as a worker in one of the many establishments in the brand.
His name on the ByteDance platform is @jhonnyupswho is also a cashier at Oxxo and in one of his most recent videos, the content creator decided to tell a little about the benefits of working at that company, an attitude that, on many occasions, is known as “putting on the T-shirt” by the company, making clear what many brands are looking for: loyalty.
“To stay stable in your job, what matters a lot is the work environment. I already have great trust with my boss and my colleagues. The problem with a job is when you no longer feel comfortable working there. I don’t think that working at Oxxo is bad, we have insurance, bonuses, benefits and many other benefits, and we have very good salaries”, is part of what the also tiktoker tells.
