iOS 15.1 arrived on our phones this week, with SharePlay, ProRes and other interesting features. Now we have news of iOS 15.2, a version of the system that will focus mainly on privacy.
The news of the next version of the Apple operating system for the iPhone comes thanks to its beta, which was launched this Thursday and comes with the function “App privacy report“.
This is a feature that Apple had announced at WWDC21 as one of the novelties of iOS 15. Now we can finally see what the mechanics of the tool are like.
App privacy report, as its name implies, seeks that users see how often applications have accessed your confidential information in the last seven days.
How to activate App Privacy Report in iOS 15.2?
When iOS 15.2 is available – beta users can now do so – you can activate this new feature in Settings > Privacy > App privacy report, What notes the company.
From that moment, iOS 15.2 will begin to monitor the activity of the applications and will throw us very valuable information that is generally out of the reach of our eyes.
In this new section you can find how many times the apps have accessed the cameras, microphone, photos, contacts, location and different sensors of the iPhone. In addition, it will show which applications have contacted their own domains and also external ones.
Apple has been striving to make its ecosystem synonymous with transparency and privacy. The app’s privacy report, coming with iOS 15.2, will be in addition to other features like Privacy Tags, ATT, Private Relay, and more.
On the other hand, Apple has made a small change in the emergency call function. To activate it, in addition to pressing the side button several times, you can now also press and hold the side button and the volume button at the same time.
It should be noted that the functions that are incorporated in the beta version of the system, in general, reach the final version of the system. However, Apple may remove or modify the options at any time.
