The final opinion on the accident that occurred on Metro Line 12 on May 3, prepared by the Norwegian company DNV, will be presented this Tuesday, September 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the headquarters of the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection of Mexico City.
The agency communicated through an information card that “in general terms, the final technical opinion will include antecedents, scope of the work, results, structural analysis and final conclusions of the same.”
Another document to be delivered will be pending, the root cause analysis of the accident on Line 12 of the Collective Transportation System.

The opinion, specified by the agency headed by Myriam Urzúa Venegas, “will be published immediately on her website, as well as on the Transparency site of Line 12 of the Metro Collective Transport System, where it can be consulted” .
“The government of Mexico City, through the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection and the agencies involved in this process, reiterate their commitment to continue providing the necessary and detailed information that allows us to determine the analysis of the failures. of the materials, and identify the direct and indirect causes of said incident “, said the department in its communication.
DNV services, contracted by the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection, were established in the SGIRPC / DEAF / RMAS / CT / 004/2021 contract, signed for an amount of 26 million 232,240 pesos in order to prepare a “Technical opinion of the incident that occurred on Line 12, in the elevated section between Olivos and Tezonco stations, between columns 12 and 13, and root cause analysis.”

On August 31, the Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, reported the beginning of topographic studies and other preliminary analyzes, which marked the formal start of the works for the rehabilitation of Line 12.
The works, he said, will last 12 months and will be paid for by the companies that participated in the flagship construction of the government of Marcelo Ebrard: Carso Infraestructura y Construcciones and ICA, in civil works; Alstom in the electromechanical work and CAF regarding the railway trains.

Sheinbaum reported on that occasion that for the repair of the “Golden Line” a collaboration agreement will be signed between the government of Mexico City and the companies, in which the work program and scope will be agreed.
The Technical Advisory Committee, appointed by the president herself in mid-June, will monitor the work, as will the Directorate of Works for Transportation of the Ministry of Works and Services of the capital.
