Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 7 vs. Samsung Galaxy Fit 2
To begin with, we will pit Xiaomi’s Mi Smart Band 7 against one of the most popular proposals on the market, Samsung’s Galaxy Fit 2. Both they have several years of difference in their launch. For its part, the Galaxy Fit 2 was released at the end of 2020, while the Mi Smart Band 7 was presented just a few days ago. However, do not be fooled, and it is that Samsung’s proposal continues to have several strengths.
The screen is one of the brightest parts of the Band 7, compared to the Galaxy Fit 2. Xiaomi has incorporated a larger and higher resolution screen on your device. This translates into more space and display quality, showing everything from graphics to important data. The Galaxy Fit 2, on the other hand, has a smaller screen, which may disadvantage those who want to consume more information from their activity bracelet. However, it may be more comfortable for people with small wrists.
As for the sensors, both are capable of offering good measurements of heart rate and movement. But thanks to the addition of an oxygen saturation meter on the Mi Smart Band 7, Xiaomi’s option is capable of recording more accurate measurements by combining stress and sleep sensors.
On the other hand, both have batteries capable of carrying the device up to 2 consecutive weeks of activity. However, the Mi Smart Band 7 offers about 180 mAh of battery, compared to 159 mAh of the Galaxy Fit 2.
How does it behave against the Amazfit Band 5 and the Huawei Band 6?
Samsung is not the only one competing against Xiaomi’s new gadget. The Huawei Band 6 and the Amazfit Band 5 also stand up to the Mi Smart Band 7, with a similar price range and quite similar features.
Of course, the Mi Smart Band 7 surpasses its other two competitors in the screen section. Here, Xiaomi has included a larger screen, as well as a clearly better quality than its competition; with 1.56 inches and 192 x 490 pixels resolution. It is closely followed by the Huawei Band 6, with a 1.47-inch screen and 194 x 369 pixel resolution. The Amazfit Band 5, meanwhile, settles for 1.1 inches and 126 x 294 pixels.
In terms of battery, all these activity bracelets can reach up to two weeks of use. Yes indeed, in the Mi Smart Band 7 and the Huawei Band 6 we will find the largest batteries, with capacities of 180 mAh. The Amazfit, meanwhile, is satisfied with about 125 mAh.
Although the differences between each of these devices may not be abysmal, if you want a current activity bracelet with great support for the future, the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 7 is the ideal option. Of course, the rest of the bracelets are a great alternative, but considering that they have been on the market for several years, you can get Xiaomi’s proposal for a few euros more and with better specifications.
