Although in every family there is a fixed repertoire of recipes that is repeated weekly, it doesn’t hurt to find new combinations for traditional dishes that free us from monotony.
This recipe, ideal for dinner, is based on simple stewed lentils, to which we are going to add a economical fish such as dogfish, but it can be replaced by any other variety that we like. The good news is that it cooks in just over half an hour.
All you have to do is chop a few vegetables that you probably already have in your refrigerator: onion, garlic, green pepper, celery, and carrot. Saute them until they become soft, add grated tomato (or concentrate) to give it a hit of flavor and, finally, add the lentils. Cover with water or fish broth and cook for half an hour, until the legume is ready. Only at the end, five minutes before they are ready, do we add the fish.
This recipe, in addition to being easy, is extremely healthy. Lentils provide us with plant-based proteins, iron and fiber; vegetables, their good dose of vitamins and minerals; and the fish, Omega-3 fatty acids and high quality proteins.

If you want to experiment a little, This stew is very versatile.: You can use the fish you like the most (also frozen, adding it to the stew a little before) and change the vegetables to taste. In any case, you will have a very complete, cheap and super easy dinner to make.
