The former local deputy of San Luis Potosí Pedro Carrizales, known as “El Mijis”, has been missing for more than 12 hours after attending a protest against the concert of the singer Lalo Mora, whom he accused of sexual abuse.
“By this means they are informed that almost 12 hours have passed since Pedro Carrizales” El Mijis “was last heard from. It is known that he would go to protest the Lalo Mora concert that took place in San Luis Potosí ”, it is mentioned in his official Twitter account.
This account also detailed that “El Mijis” has been missing with another person since 9:30 pm on Saturday and that he had received “prior threats.”
“El Mijis” got his seat in 2018 in the Congress of San Luis Potosí and became a media phenomenon for having been part of a gang when he was young and having lived multiple deficiencies since he was a child.
In 2002, he created the Popular Youth Movement, which he directs in San Luis Potosí, which seeks to channel the path of street children and fight against discrimination.
In February 2019, a man on a motorcycle fired at the deputy’s vehicle in an attack that was repelled by his bodyguards.
“El Mijis”, whose protection had been reinforced, has publicly denounced having suffered threats for his activism against bullfights and cockfights in San Luis Potosí, among other causes.
