Recently, the Congress of Mexico It dealt with a rather peculiar topic far removed from national politics. A self-proclaimed UFO expert journalist presented what he claims are the bodies of two alien mummies more than 1,000 years old, found in Cuzco, Peru. That would mean, not only that extraterrestrials exist and have already visited us, but that they were in contact with very ancient cultures. Quite a revelation if it weren’t for the fact that It smells like a scam from all sides.
In fact, the journalist in question, Jaime Maussan, already made a similar attempt years ago, with several bodies that turned out to be several mummified children and a dog. On this occasion, to try to prove his discovery, he has had the participation of José de Jesús Zalce Beníteza former Navy medical examiner, whose team has been tasked with analyzing the alien mummies.
According to analyzes carried out with CT scans and x-rays, the two alien mummies, named Clara and Mauricio, They are complete bodies, which belong to a single organism. Tests also show that Clara was pregnant and that they were mummified while still alive. Again, everything could be revealing, but there are still facts that lead, at the very least, to great suspicion.
The controversial work of Jaime Maussan
It’s not the first time that some statements by Jaime Maussan cause a stir in Mexico and the rest of the world.
The first ones arrived in the 1990swhen he began to collect testimonies of sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in Mexican territory. He had no proof of the veracity of such testimonies, but he gave them enough credibility to create a television program, called Third millennium, in which he debated these and other paranormal phenomena. The Mexican Iker Jiménez.
But, without a doubt, his biggest scandal came in 2017, when he supported the alleged discovery of five alien mummies in Peru. The bodies had been found in Nazca, a place famous for lines engraved in the desert sand that, for some people, could have an extraterrestrial origin. Some even point out that they could be landing strips for spaceships. Although, of course, there is not a single credible piece of evidence that supports this hypothesis.
Maussan and other ufologists made public the discovery of five mummified bodies, child-sized, with only three fingers on their hands. The Autonomous University of Mexico analyzed them by dating with Carbon-14 and concluded that they were 1,000 years old. But that does not mean anything. Throughout, these scientists insisted that they had only analyzed the antiquity of the mummies. But they did not study their origin, much less confirm that they were alien mummies.
But other scientists did. Mummy experts from around the world began to study the bodies, concluding that they were actually pre-Columbian mummies, of children and animals, that had been manipulated to give them an alien look.
This, logically, took away from Maussan what little credibility he might have left. But, even so, he has decided to return to the fray, taking his new discovery before the Mexican Congress.
Two new alien mummies
On this occasion, it was Maussan who chose the scientist who would analyze his alien mummies.
This is José de Jesús Zalce Beníteza coroner who, coincidentally, He works as an associate of Maussan.
He has assured that they are complete bodies, not human. Furthermore, both claim to have the support of researchers who point out that at least a third of its DNA is not human.
But, logically, there are many researchers against these statements. One of them is the NASA scientist David Spergelwho said in statements to the BBC that a case like this must be put available to the scientific community, for it to investigate. Maussan has not done this, but has only left the investigation in the hands of a colleague of his.
But even researchers specialized in the study of UFOs are unhappy with what happened. One of them is the Peruvian ufologist Anthony Choiwho has declared that what happened is a fraud that, in addition, offends Peru.
Therefore, it is most likely that, again, the mummified aliens are human mummies that have been manipulated to appear from another world. Or maybe they are puzzles made from animal remains, as other counterfeiters have done occasionally. An analysis carried out by scientists other than Maussan would be sufficient. But, given the journalist’s refusals For this to happen, if there is something clear in all this, it is that mummies can be anything but aliens.
