Now, in order to continue expanding its own brand, TikTok has focused its efforts on video games.
TikTok is not only the most popular social network so far, gaining a significant audience thanks to the pandemic, but, now, he has set his sights on the video game industry.
It is not necessary to mention the great influence that TikTok has generated, at least, during the last couple of years, taking advantage of the fact that people, as a result of the global health emergency, were forced to seclude themselves in their homes and search, within your devices, a way of entertainment.
Today, it can already be decreed that people spend at least seven hours a day browsing the web or their own social networks.
Under this framework, the social network developed by ByteDance is one of the most popular currently, managing to congregate an amount of one billion monthly users and it is estimated that, at least, this figure will exceed 1.3 billion.
TikTok gets deeper into video games
However, for TikTok it seems that this is not enough, because now, in order to continue expanding, the platform is looking at the powerful video game industry.
The arrival of the pandemic also meant a growth in the video game industry, reaching an approximate value of 198 thousand 500 million dollars, a figure that by 2027 is expected to increase by some 141 thousand 600 million dollars.
In Mexico, in 2020, the gaming reached a total of 81 million gamerswhich represent 63 percent of the population according to data from a study conducted by Rebold,
These figures, of course, are known by TikTok and it is one of the reasons why it is determined to join one of the largest industries in history.
According to what has been reported in some media, the social network has made available a first pilot of “minigames” with titles developed by Voddo, Nitro Games, FRVR, Aim Lam and Lotem. So far, according to what the social network reports, the available titles are:
