The shopping basket not only continues not to become cheaper, but it continues to rise in price. We consumers have no choice but to trust and wait for the drop in the CPI for food to be reflected in our bills, and in the meantime it seems more of a priority than ever compare prices between supermarkets to find the best discounts.
Not everyone is lucky enough to have traditional neighborhood stores close at hand, nor can they get close to the market, so super they remain the most practical option for the vast majority of consumers. Now, we know that prices can vary enormously from one chain to another, but there are also supermarkets that tend to reward your customers with promotionswhile others almost never make special offers.
In addition to studying supermarket prices to find out which are the cheapest, the OCU collects in its latest survey the assessment that users give to the main chains in our country. Beyond the global score that takes into account the average of all the parameters, it is interesting to highlight which are those who pass with a grade regarding the discounts. And also which ones fail.
There are only two supermarkets that obtain a high level of satisfaction in the promotions: E. Leclerc and Carrefour (only hypermarkets). Users have rated with 76 points out of 100 the level of satisfaction of the two French chains in terms of the quality and frequency of their promotions and special discounts, being the only ones that exceed 75 points among the 39 analyzed.
At the other end, the only one that fails with 49 points out of 100, is Mercadonawhose offers tend to be very punctual and generally unattractive to customers, with an absence of common promotions in other centers such as the typical 2 for 1 or 3 for 2, second unit at half price or customer loyalty programs.
