The vampires
There is a mythical creature that has been the inspiration for all kinds of legends: it comes out at night and seeks to quench its thirst with blood. Thus, some companies only go to the market in search of money. And once they get it they don’t operate again. These cases are the fewest, but they are there, like Planigrupo or Posadas.
Although sometimes, they tend to go out to operate just to buy back their own shares at a better price; However, its movement remains very low. Once again, they are companies that are mostly family-owned and seek to maintain control of the majority of the shares.
The ghosts
There are companies that, although they have operations in real life, are not even listed on the stock market, they do not operate, they are like ghosts.
These companies are listed, but they do not comply with some of the minimum requirements of the Stock Exchange, such as having a minimum of 100 investors and maintaining at least 12% of the paid-in share capital. Among them are: Palacio de Hierro, Grupo MacMa and Farmacias Benavides.
There are some that are about to disappear from the Stock Market, that due to the low valuation and the little movement they have, they are not interested in continuing to trade and have begun their process to leave, such is the case of Bachoco.
There are also others that have failed to publish their financial information. In these cases, the Stock Exchange usually suspends them. The most recent case is that of TV Azteca, but as soon as the company fixes the situation it will return to the world of the living.
