Days of celebrations and much are coming cudismor, and these are times to look good with the guests at the table, so there is nothing better than finding out about what varieties of wine are the more successful at very economical prices.
The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has carried out an analysis of 31 red wines from supermarkets, breeding: Most large wineries have good results in processing and conservation, and very good in tasting.
This selection of wines has a wide presence in supermarkets and the entity has verified its content in alcohol, sugar, acidity and in the additives present, in addition to having completed the analysis with a tasting.
The OCU remembers that aged red wines are wines that undergo an aging process in oak barrels, for a period that can range from 6 to 12 monthsis the so-called oxidative phase, where the wine matures in contact with the wood and a small part of oxygen, to later bottle it and continue its maturation process in what is called the reducing phase.
‘Top three’
According to the analysis, there are three good wines good ones for less than eight euros, the first of them, Prado Rey Origen 2021 (between 6.78 and 8.25 euros). It is a DO Ribera de Duero wine, made with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Its overall rating is 87 points out of 100.
Secondly, there is the Marquis of Cáceres, Crianza 2019 (which costs between 7.55 and 8.06 euros). It is a single-varietal Rioja Tempranillo, and its overall score is 84 points out of 100.
Finally, Vero vineyards Crianza 2019 costs between 7.01 and 8.45 euros and is made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Its overall score is 81 points out of 100.
In general, the cheapest option to buy these wines is to go to the Supermarketwhere there are often interesting offers (but be careful, you must not lose sight of the vintage. According to the OCU, you can get good prices in wineries, and the vast majority offer the possibility of purchasing online, although you must take into account the shipping cost.

Variety of origins and grapes
In their analysis they have included wines from 13 designations of origin, which faithfully represent the wine diversity of Spain. The grapes with which they are made are also diverse.
In the varieties selected by the OCU, the grape predominates Tempranillo, the queen of red grapes in Spain. This grape is also known in some regions as Cencibel, Tinta Fino, Tinta del País or Ull de llebre. It can be found in half of the wines in the study in single-varietal form, something common in the DO Ribera del Duero or the DOCa. Rioja, but it also forms wonderful “coupages” with other grapes such as Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah or Merlot.

The Mencía grape, for its part, is common in the DO Bierzo and in Galician appellations, while the Carignan and Grenache They are typical of Aragon and Catalonia, and the Tinta de Toro in Zamora or the Monastrell in Murcia and Levante complete the panorama.
