Today simulation games are no longer as big as before, of course, there are exponents of the genre such as Animal Crossing or The Sims, but those Age of Empires style are disappearing little by little. However, there are projects like Victoria 3 that are still betting on the genre, and that leads us to the fact that this video game is already available. This is the newest historical strategy game from Paradox Interactive. Set in the century from 1836 to 1936, it features as the guiding spirit not just of a nation, but of a population, responding to their material and political needs as changes in technology, ideology, and diplomacy transform the world. Every subject on the map, from a serf to a powerful industrialist, has a part to play in this grand drama as you build factories, trade valuable goods, reform government, and more. That means that management is the most important thing. Here you can see its official preview: These are the characteristics that define Victoria 3 in its official statement: – Infinite Replayability: Dozens of nations of the Victorian era, from industrial powers such as Great Britain and to giants such as Russia and Qing China or powers on hold like Japan or colonial Canada. – Deep Social Simulation: Every inhabitant of your nation is simulated, whether farmer or employee, capitalist or artisan, with personal beliefs and political preferences. – Challenging Economic Game: The game allows you to develop the economy through new industries and institutions, trading surplus goods to the many markets of the world and importing what your population needs to make life more affordable. – Diplomatic Risk: Use diplomatic tactics, asking for support from your allies, while imposing demands on weaker nations or rivals. – Political Development: Manage the various political factions of the country through laws and reforms. – A Living World: The player will be able to watch the map change, as newly built railways run between flourishing cities. The game is now available on PC via Steam. Via: official statement
