On October 8th, the Nintendo switch OLED to different markets worldwide. In this way, it was recently announced that the original model, the one that came to our hands in 2017, has dropped in price in preparation for the launch of the new console, as well as to reflect currency changes. However, this will not apply to all audiences.
According to Nintendo of Europe, the Switch has changed from € 329.99 euros to € 299.99 euros. This modification is already reflected in the Official site from the company for this region, as well as in stores such as Amazon. Thus, those who live in Europe can get this console € 30 cheaper than usual. This is what a company representative told Eurogamer about it:
“Nintendo of Europe is changing the European retail price of the Nintendo Switch console for stores. More than four and a half years after its first launch, Nintendo Switch continues to have strong sales momentum in Europe. After carefully weighing a variety of factors, including currency exchange rates in Europe and the upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch – OLED model, we decided that now was the right time to change the European retail price of Nintendo Switch. “
Regrettably, at the moment there is no information related to the price change in other regions. In the case of Mexico, the Nintendo Switch is between $ 7 thousand and $ 8 thousand pesos, depending on the store and the available offers. Regarding the OLED model, it still does not have a launch date in our country, although there is the promise of seeing it on the shelves at some point this year.
On an international level, The Nintendo Switch OLED will be available on October 8. On related issues, an insider points out that Nintendo is preparing the disclosure of a new IP for 2022.
