After a period in beta, today a new update has arrived for the playstation 5 This time we see more than just general improvements to the system, as a new HDMI output option has been added, as well as a series of new functions for the social section of the console.
Right now you can update your PS5 to have support for 1440p output on televisions and monitors that have this option. Another of the sections that have received a series of improvements has been the list of games, which received a touch up in its interface. Similarly, it is now much easier to request that a friend’s screen be shared, in order to access the chat more quickly.
Another detail worth mentioning after this update is that now you can compare 3D audio and stereo audio on the same screen, and more easily access ongoing activities from game centers. For all those who live in the United States and the United Kingdom, it is now possible to search for videos on YouTube using voice command. It is important to mention that this function is only available in English and in the two previously mentioned regions.
Finally, the PlayStation app on iOS and Android devices also received an update, with which you can now start remote play from here, and have the ability to ask a friend to share your screen. On related topics, the PS5 receives a new line of accessories. Similarly, all this will come to PS Plus in September.
Editor’s note:
Without a doubt, an interesting update. While it’s not as big as some we’ve seen in the past, it does add a number of improvements that fans have been asking for for a long time. It will be interesting to see what we see in the future.
