The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, this week asked his American counterpart, Joe Biden, to lift the economic blockade against Cuba.
Díaz-Canel highlighted that the Cuban government achieved the development of two vaccines against COVID-19. “Consider these events, as we consider them, as a Latin American achievement,” said the Cuban leader.
The Cuban president expressed his support for a dialogue “without interference” between the government of Venezuela and the opposition and condemned the sanctions against the government of Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua.
