Currently, OnePlus is one of the brands that have the most impact on each of its terminals. Annually, we were used to seeing only two phones, but for the first time in its history, in 2019 there will be four models presented in total. We know that the presentation of the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro will take place on the 26th of this month. Both models have been filtered on several occasions, both its design and some of its features, which we compare with previous versions.
We have now seen how OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that his next phone will be cheaper than the company’s current flagship. It is really confirming that one of the features that have liked the OnePlus 7 Pro, will reach the affordable model, but it does not mean that its final price will be lower than its predecessor. We talked about the 90 Hz screen, which was already leaked that would arrive next to the OnePlus 7T.
The OnePlus 7T will bring 90 Hz to affordable phones
Each year, OnePlus has been increasing the price of its terminals. This year has hit the ceiling with the OnePlus 7 Pro, which starts at 709 euros, a price much higher than many users are willing to pay. Therefore, the brand kept the normal OnePlus 7 at a much more affordable price and despite giving up on aspects such as the screen or the camera, it was still a phone of the highest range. Well, OnePlus knows that it has created a trend with its 90 Hz screen and that it will now be a standard in the high range, as they have reported in an interview for CNET:
OnePlus was the first in the industry to use a QHD Plus 90Hz AMOLED screen with the ultrapremium OnePlus 7 Pro. more people can experience the smooth scrolling display
In this interview, Pete Lau basically talks about how they were the first to integrate an AMOLED screen with QuadHD + resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate and is something that will now be a high-end standard. Therefore, they have chosen to bring this same feature to their new terminals so that more people can experience the fluidity of their screen. If they limited the 90 Hz for the OnePlus 7T Pro, the brand would stay the same, there would not be many more users who could try this technology.
On the other hand, bringing 90 Hz to its “basic” model (in addition to all the other improvements it will have), guarantee that the experience of the OnePlus 7T is excellent and at a lower price than that of the OnePlus 7 Pro. Only with that OnePlus keep the price of this terminal with respect to its predecessor, it will conquer many users with all the improvements implemented.
