The future ambassador of the United States in Argentina, Marc stanley, pledged to help the Argentine government in negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for debt restructuring.
“LUnfortunately, Argentina is experiencing significant economic challenges, including massive debt to the IMF and a prolonged recession. If my nomination is confirmed, I will work to support Argentina’s efforts to address those challenges.“Stanley said when he made a brief point on the agenda that he will implement in Buenos Aires in case of being confirmed as ambassador.
And continued: “Two-way trade is down and some US companies are leaving the country due to regulatory barriers. I will continue to engage with the Argentine government to address these challenges as we explore opportunities to expand US trade.”.
Stanley raised his concern because Argentina has not yet joined the United States and other countries that demand respect for human rights in countries such as Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua. “If my nomination is confirmed, I plan to dialogue with leaders at all levels to ensure that our ideals are honored in the hemisphere,” he said.

During his Senate speech, Stanley described Argentina as a beautiful country. He said he is looking forward to meeting his citizens, walking the streets of Buenos Aires, hiking in Bariloche and “soaking up” with the Iguazu Falls. He also promised to visit all the provinces.
“Argentina is the second largest country in Latin America, it is a partner in ours in the hemisphere and as ambassador of the United States I intend to make my effort to promote matters of mutual interest rooted in our common values.”, He raised.
