Exchange rate today
The exchange rate was quoted this Tuesday at 18.14 pesos per dollar, an appreciation of 0.04% compared to Monday’s close. In the two previous sessions it accumulated an advance of 0.95% and experts think that moving forward it could continue to recover ground.
“The short-term trend anticipates a return to 18 units and, if the economic figures support it, the next floor is very marked at 17.75,” said the firm Roga Capital, in an analysis note.
At the local level, it was announced that general inflation slowed more than expected in the first half of October, but remained above the official target, supporting the prospects that the central bank will maintain its current key rate for a long time. On the other hand, the market operates cautiously, awaiting economic data in the United States, where the GDP for the third quarter will be revealed on Wednesday.
During the session, the exchange rate is expected to trade between 18.07 and 18.23 pesos per dollar, indicated an analysis by Banco Base.
