The Chamber of Deputies has finally set a date for the vote on the electricity reform that seeks to strengthen the state-owned CFE.
Manuel Rodríguez, the president of the Energy Commission, says that the methodology to discuss and present the opinion of the so-called electrical reform is already ready, and that the presidential initiative would be voted on with all certainty during this legislative period.
“You vote in this legislative period with all certainty,” says the receiving body of the initiative in an interview with Expansion in the Chamber of Deputies. “This second ordinary period of the first legislative year of this legislature ends on April 30, and yes, obviously we are ready to be able to rule and present it this period.”
