The Boys It is a show that is not only a parody of Marvel and other superhero films, but also uses its world to criticize the absurdity of our reality. Now, to promote the third season of this show, a new teaser has been released, which is a clear reference to streaming services like Disney +.
Within the universe of The Boys, there is a television network, known as Vought, which plays an important role in the public perception of these characters. Thus, mini episodes have been created focused on this fictional television station.. Now, the most recent chapter introduces us to Vought +, which offers us a subscription with the familiar content that characterizes this company so much.
Here’s what The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke had to say about these mini episodes:
“Since the beginning of The Boys, we’ve seen Vought’s propaganda arm, I mean the news channel, VNN. We will delve into those fair and balanced patriots next season, so as a preview, we will present ‘Seven on 7’ with VNN’s biggest star, Cameron Coleman. The episodes are in world canon, and provide new information that bridges the story gap between seasons 2 and 3. So enjoy the hot takes and catheter commercials, just like your parents do! ”
Regarding the third season of The BoysAt the moment there is no detailed information that gives us a look at the world that awaits us in the future. However, considering how successful this series has been on Prime Video, we are sure to continue to see more of Homelander and company on Vought +.
On related issues, the Russo brothers are likely no longer returning to the MCU.
