The batteries Tesla Powerwall officially land in Spain. As of this Tuesday, interested customers will be able to contact one of the authorized installers from the brand’s website and thus carry out both the purchase and the implementation of this product in their homes.
Thanks to this product, homes can locally store excess energy produced by a set of solar panels and make use of it when necessary –for example, at night–. In this way, the dependence on the conventional electrical network is further reduced and a more efficient use of the solar energy generated by the panels is made.
the product too They can be interesting for those who do not have solar panels at home. For example: they can recharge the Powerwall using the conventional network at night –when electricity is cheaper– and, the rest of the day, not consume electricity from the conventional network –with the consequent economic savings–.
On the other hand, the Tesla Powerwall can also be useful for those people who live in remote places where power outages occur relatively easily. Thanks to it, all household appliances can continue to work even if the conventional electrical network temporarily stops working.
What are the Tesla Powerwalls like?
The Tesla Powerwall, remember, are household batteries with a capacity of 13.5 kWh that can supply up to 7 kW of peak power (5 kW continuously). However, if an individual or company requires a greater storage capacity, they can interconnect up to 10 Tesla Powerwalls with each other.
Each Tesla Powerwall measures 1,115 meters high, 7.53 meters wide and weighs 114 kilograms. They can be installed on the ground, on the wall, indoors and outdoors. It resists both water and dust (IP67) and can withstand temperatures between -20ºC and 50ºC depending on the manufacturer.
