Swedish left-back Ludwig Augustinsson, until now a Werder Bremen player, arrived at Seville airport in the early afternoon of this Saturday on a flight from Germany to formalize his contract with Sevilla.
Augustinsson, who was received at the airport by the sports director of Sevilla, Ramón Rodríguez ‘Monchi’, will pass in the next few hours the medical examinations prior to the signing of his contract, which will be for four seasons, sources of the negotiation informed Efe.
The winger is a versatile 27-year-old left-hander, trained at his country’s IF Brommapojkarna and distinguished himself at Danish Copenhagen before signing for Werder Bremen in the summer of 2017, where he has played 115 official matches in the last four campaigns, although in the latter he could not prevent the team from relegation to Bundesliga 2.
The Swede debuted with his senior team in 2015 and has since played 36 international matches, including five corresponding to the World Cup in Russia and four in the recent European Championship, in which he played against Spain at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville.
